About the Role

Join Solace's API & Applications team as a Junior Software Developer.

Develop multilingual SDK client libraries for event-driven architectures.

Focus on the Solace Schema Registry and supporting serialization and deserialization libraries.

What You'll Do

  • Build serialization and deserialization library implementations across multiple programming languages.
  • Improve the front-end and back-end of the Solace Schema Registry.
  • Monitor and develop build and test pipelines for the Schema Registry.
  • Contribute to AI workflow development.
  • Collaborate with product and platform engineering teams.
  • Help the support team resolve field issues.

What You'll Bring

  • Bring front-end, back-end, and pipeline development exposure.
  • Develop comfortably with multiple languages such as Java and Python.
  • Understand requirements definition, planning, implementation, testing, and support.
  • Use AI technologies and coding-assisted tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Codex.
  • Support developer productivity through automation and maintain a quality-focused mindset.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with messaging brokers or messaging-as-a-service products.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes-based CI runners.
  • Experience with cross-platform build challenges across Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Work Arrangement

  • Solace describes its work model as hybrid-first.

Compensation

  • The expected salary range is CAD 85,000 to CAD 105,000.
  • The final offer depends on the successful candidate's skills and experience.
