Role overview
Build and enhance core infrastructure and services powering a global data ecosystem.
Work within Platform Engineering on a Data Platform team supporting real-time processing, cloud databases, release management, distributed storage, and bespoke technical solutions.
Develop, enhance, and support a business-critical platform at significant scale.
Core work
- Focus on real-time stream processing, cloud infrastructure management, system integration, and release automation.
- Develop applications using Golang, Kafka, Flink, GCP, SQL, and related technologies.
- Support applications through their Kafka journey from design through implementation.
- Create automation and developer tooling.
- Contribute to streaming and storage solutions independently and with the wider development function.
- Assist testing teams and conduct functional and performance testing with code quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
- Background in using Apache Kafka.
- Familiarity with high-volume transactional environments.
- Experience developing low-latency, highly available, and scalable solutions.
