Co-operators is looking for a Co-op Student in the Information Technology department located in Toronto, ON.
This is a 4-8 month contract position.
How you will create impact:
- Develop and Innovate: Contribute to our system-based solution initiatives by coding, debugging, and refining applications.
- Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with experienced team members to estimate tasks, document processes, and support continuous process improvement.
- Test and Validate: Assist in unit testing, system validations, and user-acceptance testing to ensure our solutions meet high-quality standards.
- Plan and Execute: Help design and implement small to medium-scale features, and participate in developing efficient implementation and back-out strategies.
Technologies & Tools
- Cloud & Services: Get hands-on with AWS Services and cloud computing fundamentals (experience with Azure is a plus).
- Programming & Testing: Engage with JavaScript technologies, Postman for API testing, and Okta for identity management.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, no-code/low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Platform, and SQL for database queries will help you shine.
• Other Languages: Python, JavaScript
To join our team:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A strong desire to learn and a willingness to dive into both technical challenges and soft-skill development opportunities.
- Bonus assets include hands-on experience with Agile/DevOps, experience with AWS or Azure services, low-code/no-code platforms, Python, JavaScript, and SQL proficiency.
