Role overview
The role supports the CLI and Terraform team building tools and frameworks that help customers manage and automate Confluent.
The team develops developer experiences around Confluent APIs, CLI commands, Terraform resources, and integrations.
What you will do
- Design, implement, test, and maintain Confluent CLI and Terraform Provider features, primarily using Go.
- Convert Confluent APIs into CLI commands and Terraform resources for production automation.
- Collaborate with service teams on integrations and consistent product experiences.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and follow engineering and release practices.
- Investigate customer issues and improve reliability, performance, and usability.
- Contribute to shared frameworks, validation systems, and integration tooling.
- Provide operational support and diagnose issues across APIs, cloud services, and customer environments.
Required expertise
- A computer science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, is required.
- One to four years of relevant software development experience is required.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software design, and API development are required.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language is required.
