About the position
MobilityData is hiring a Software Developer for its Public Transit Data Quality product area.
The role focuses primarily on robust backend development with secondary frontend contributions.
The developer will work with product managers, developers, and an active open-source community on tools that improve transit data quality.
Employment and compensation
- This is a full-time, permanent position with a starting annual salary range of 105,000 CAD to 160,000 CAD.
Workplace
- The role is primarily recruited for a Montreal-based person and is 95% remote or work from home.
- The position includes approximately 5% travel for conferences, summits, and similar events.
Software development
- Collaborate with the product manager to build roadmap-aligned tools.
- Deliver scalable, testable, and maintainable code using Python, Java, TypeScript, and NextJS.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development and code reviews while maintaining human oversight for quality.
