Role Overview
Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Automated Inventory Management RoW team.
The team extends supply-chain systems to regional stores and builds scalable services for emerging markets, including country-specific customizations and operational support.
About the Team
The RoW AIM Tech team owns data and service foundations, regional customizations, priority delivery across supply-chain systems, and end-to-end support for launched capabilities.
SCOT systems support forecasting, buying, inventory placement and removal, fulfillment, in-stock performance, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, deploy, maintain, document, and deliver large-scale distributed systems.
- Use Java, Scala, object-oriented design patterns, NoSQL databases, and data modeling techniques.
- Design petabyte-scale big-data processing solutions using AWS services.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical design specifications.
- Produce software documentation and recommend improvements to development and system standards.
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers, researchers, and data engineers on supply-chain optimization.
