DESCRIPTION
The software applications engineer will design, develop, and support manufacturing software control systems used with Mitsubishi fabrication equipment at customer facilities located in North America. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for design, development, validation, and support of automation software to enable manufacturing technologies. This position requires the ability to independently manage work assignments and complete project lifecycle management (i.e., requirement analysis to deployment and support).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support pre-and post- sales technical support
- Demonstrate software products to potential and existing customers.
- Analyze customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements.
- Maintain clear communications with customers and software development partners.
- Test new software builds to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the applications you help develop.
- Provide expert level support to factory technicians and process engineers on use of these applications.
- Collaborate with software development team to drive core product growth.
- Develop new software solutions for customers and industry partners.
- Create and present technical training curriculums.
- Travel to customer and industry partner facilities to execute sales support, implementation, and conduct advanced technical training sessions. Up to 50% travel time per year may be required
- Cultivate professional business relationships with both developers and customers
- Other duties as required
