Role Overview

Workplace and Reporting

• The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• The employment type is full-time.
• The role reports to the Head of Technology or CTO.
• Work location is in person.

Infrastructure and Systems

• Support and maintain servers, storage, network devices, endpoints, and related IT services.
• Support Windows/Linux server administration, patching, monitoring, backups, restore checks, and system updates.
• Ensure critical IT systems are stable, secure, and ready for daily business operations.
• Maintain system records, configuration details, support contacts, and escalation paths.
• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend permanent fixes where possible.

Networks and Endpoints

• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, IP addressing, ports, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate advanced troubleshooting and network changes with vendors or internal network resources.
• Maintain network documentation, including device details, IP plans, access points, firewall dependencies, and connectivity records.
• Manage laptops, desktops, tablets, staff devices, printers, scanners, and other IT-controlled endpoints.
• Support MDM policies, device restrictions, app controls, kiosk mode, remote wipe, geofencing controls, and device compliance.

Security and Processes

• Support user access management, permissions, password policies, MFA, endpoint protection, and secure access procedures.
• Handle user creation, role changes, access removal, and offboarding through proper approval and documentation.
• Track security risks, repeated issues, unauthorized access concerns, and policy gaps.
• Create preventive maintenance schedules and maintain inspection records, maintenance logs, issue history, and corrective actions.
• Maintain procedures for access requests, device issuance, vendor access, system changes, incidents, and escalations.

Vendor and Property Systems

• Coordinate with IT vendors, service providers, and support partners for infrastructure, network, server, endpoint, MDM, and security issues.
• Track vendor commitments, timelines, service visits, pending actions, and closure status, and validate vendor fixes before closing issues.
• Support connected property systems including CCTV, IPTV, IP telephony, access control, door locks, BMS, GRMS, PMS, conference systems, AV, curtain motors, LED screens, and digital signage.
• The candidate is not expected to be an expert in every property system but must understand dependencies, coordinate vendors, document ownership, and track issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network support, or IT operations.
• Good understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, IP addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, patching, backup coordination, monitoring, and basic system administration.
• Experience with endpoint management, device control, IT assets, and user access procedures.
• Understanding of MDM, device policies, access restrictions, remote wipe, app control, and endpoint compliance.
• Good understanding of IT security practices, user permissions, MFA, endpoint protection, access control, and offboarding procedures.

• Ability to manage vendors and troubleshoot across network, server, device, user, vendor, and configuration layers.
• Professional communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and management.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a structured manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, luxury venues, smart buildings, or property technology environments is preferred.
• Exposure to CCTV, IPTV, IP telephony, access control, smart locks, BMS, GRMS, PMS, AV, conference systems, LED screens, and digital signage is preferred.
• Microsoft 365, Azure AD or Entra ID, Active Directory, GPOs, IAM, and RBAC experience is preferred.
• Backup tools, disaster recovery checks, NAS or storage systems, restore testing, ticketing systems, ITIL, SLA reporting, RCA documentation, and preventive maintenance planning experience are preferred.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar, and basic understanding of APIs, logs, databases, or software integrations are preferred.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL, cybersecurity, networking, or other relevant infrastructure certifications are preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Systems Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 7,000 to AED 9,000 per month.
