About the Role
Dentsu is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead social media strategy and execution for clients in the MENA region. You will develop social roadmaps, create bilingual content in English and Arabic, manage community growth, and oversee performance reporting.

- Partner with the Account Director to ensure social media efforts align with broader brand strategy and client business goals
- Attend client meetings as the lead voice for Social Media, providing expert recommendations and managing expectations
- Support account growth by contributing to proposals, upsells, and strategic social recommendations
- Manage Social Media Executives, monitoring workload, quality of output, and professional development
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies, including content pillars, community management protocols, and platform playbooks
- Directly draft, edit, and publish high quality daily social media posts across all relevant platforms
- Write punchy, persuasive copy in both English and Arabic, ensuring tone of voice tailored to target audience with Gulf cultural nuances
- Use mobile editing tools and design apps (e.g. CapCut, Canva) to create social first content for real time engagement
- Manually handle scheduling and technical uploading of content, optimizing with tags, locations, and trending audio for maximum reach across MENA
- Proofread all copy to ensure zero errors before publishing
- Work closely with design and video teams to ensure visual assets are optimized for social first consumption
- Proactively suggest new features, promotions, and competitions to build brand awareness and foster community loyalty
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in Social Media Management, ideally within a creative or digital agency environment
- Native level Arabic (with strong understanding of Gulf dialects and regional cultural nuances) and professional English
- Strong knowledge of the MENA social media landscape, including platform specific trends across Snapchat, X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant channels
- Acts as a trusted advisor to clients, with interpersonal skills of an Account Manager
- Outstanding organizational ability, managing Social Media Executives and coordinating with creative and production teams
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel; comfortable presenting social strategies and monthly performance reports to senior stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast paced, multi client setting, integrating technical platform knowledge with a commercial mindset
- Able to navigate complex client requests and platform shifts efficiently
- Acts as a link between client's brand requirements and internal creative team

- Use social listening tools to research benchmark trends and audience preferences; pull actionable insights for portfolio clients.
- Set specific objectives (KPIs) and report on ROI, translating engagement metrics into tangible business impact for clients.
- Lead or support influencer marketing campaigns, from identification and vetting through to execution and reporting.
- Attend events and lead live social coverage (Stories, TikTok, etc.), ensuring the brand captures real time cultural moments relevant to Gulf audiences.
- Educate clients and internal teams on best practices, emerging technologies, and the latest platform algorithm shifts.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in Social Media Management, ideally within a creative or digital agency environment.
- Languages: Native level Arabic (with a strong understanding of Gulf dialects and regional cultural nuances) and professional English are a must.
