Duties And Responsibilities
- Establishes processes and process control for SMT lines and related production areas
- Establishes process monitoring to ensure processes remain in control
- Works in a cross-functional team to document and improve existing processes
- Works in a cross-functional team to support Continuous Improvement aimed at driving Operational Excellence
- Works with machine vendors for technical support as required to establish or improve production processes
- May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees
- Uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot issues on the Production floor, including SMT, THT and Selective Solder issues
- Recommend changes and/or upgrades to equipment, work methods, and the production process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources
- Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve
- Works with Quality to monitor scrap, rework and other quality metrics and uses this data to drive process improvements
- Advises Manufacturing Engineering teams on floor plan designs and layouts to ensure infrastructure improvements support existing production processes and process improvements
