Role Overview

  • We are hiring an L3 SMSC Support Engineer with deep, practical expertise across the full JINNY/Enghouse messaging suite.
  • The role involves advanced troubleshooting, platform engineering, routing optimization, and direct vendor‑level issue handling for a multi‑node SMSC environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all L3 escalations for SMSC, MPUs, SIU, JMR/JFE/JRE, JSR, WAP, MGW, VSMS, MMSC.
  • Perform advanced debugging, log analysis, core dumps, protocol traces (SMPP, SIGTRAN, MAP).
  • Manage routing tables, filtering rules, SMPP configs, IN charging integration, and international SMS flows.
  • Lead upgrades, patches, DR drills, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Work directly with Enghouse/JINNY TAC for complex issues and bug fixes.
  • Support integrations with IN, VAS, enterprise SMPP clients, and international hubs.

Required Skills

  • Mandatory hands‑on experience with JINNY/Enghouse SMSC (5+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of SMPP 3.4, SS7/SIGTRAN (M3UA/SCCP/MAP), routing, filtering, TPS optimization.
  • Linux (RHEL/CentOS), tcpdump/wireshark, scripting for automation.
  • Experience in HA/clustered telecom environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecom/Computer Engineering.
  • Proven L3‑level troubleshooting and platform ownership.
