- Description: Michels Canada is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our team in Nisku! We take pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations and manage a fleet of more than 1,500 pieces of equipment, from heavy machinery to rolling stock. We are looking for a self‑motivated, safety‑focused yard hand who can help ensure our yard operates smoothly throughout the year. In this role, you will work closely with both shop and office teams, as well as third‑party service providers including truck drivers and various vendors and suppliers. This position requires a professional attitude and a strong personal commitment to safe work practices. The role is based in Nisku, Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform general yard and property housekeeping, including sweeping, snow removal, clearing walkways of slip and trip hazards, and removing waste and other hazards from work areas.
- Assist with equipment staging and yard moves.
