Job Summary
Support mission-critical banking applications across trading, treasury, risk, profit and loss, and regulatory or management reporting workflows.
Operate with production discipline and improve platform stability through incident reduction, automation, and effective controls.
Work closely with engineering and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
Application Support
- Provide L2 and L3 production support for applications supporting treasury, trading, risk, and reporting processes.
- Monitor application and batch health and triage failures, data breaks, and performance degradation against SLAs.
- Lead incident management through assessment, bridge coordination, stakeholder updates, and service restoration.
- Troubleshoot with Linux, logs, metrics, and SQL to identify root causes and implement workarounds.
Automation and Change
- Support AutoSys and Airflow scheduling, batch operations, and upstream or downstream dependency validation.
- Partner with engineering teams on permanent fixes, root cause analysis, prevention plans, and action closure.
- Support releases and changes through deployment validation, rollback readiness, hypercare, and change governance.
- Automate operational work with Python and shell scripting to improve recovery outcomes.
Operational Excellence
- Support data pipelines, data lakes, ETL patterns, and Databricks while resolving data-quality and process issues.
- Maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, operational knowledge, audit-ready evidence, and documentation.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery activities, including runbook validation, failover and failback testing, and remediation tracking.
- Participate in on-call or shift coverage for global processing windows.
Required Qualifications
- At least six years of application or production support experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on Linux and SQL experience with troubleshooting through logs and metrics.
- Experience with AutoSys, Airflow, batch operations, and dependency validation.
- Experience with incident, problem, and change management practices aligned to ITIL principles.
- Experience supporting Databricks, data lakes, ETL concepts, data platforms, and data pipelines.
- Python and shell scripting skills for automation and platform stability.
- Experience with observability tools and working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and data integration patterns is preferred.
