Job Summary

Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Manage, monitor, and maintain highly available Windows and Linux systems.
• Analyze metrics and trends to support rapid scalability.
• Handle service requests and automate operational processes.
• Create infrastructure as code with Terraform, ARM Templates, and CloudFormation.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Octopus, Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Champion ITIL best practices and standards.

Technical Proficiencies

• AWS experience is explicitly required.
• Analyze application, IIS, system, security, and CloudTrail logs and events.
• Use CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Octopus.
• Use observability tools such as New Relic, Application Insights, AppDynamics, or Datadog.
• Maintain Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments.
• Use Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Use Ansible, Terraform, Azure Automation Runbook, or similar configuration management tools.
• Understand networking, certificates, OAuth, Azure AD, AKS, Azure Apps, load balancers, firewalls, API Management, and Azure databases.
• SQL Server database maintenance and administration is preferred.

Experience and Education

• 5+ years of experience in SRE or systems administration.
• Experience supporting highly available Windows and Linux servers, especially the WISA stack.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies.
• 1+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comfort with Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Organizational Alignment

• The role reports to the Senior SRE Manager.
• The role collaborates with DevOps, DBA, and security teams.
