Role Overview
NatWest Group is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer at associate vice president level within NatWest Digital X.
The role engineers and operates secure, reliable, customer-centric software and tools across the full development and operations lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain high-performance, secure, and robust solutions within a feature team.
- Produce complex and critical software, scripts, and tools across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Own reliability, availability, and operational performance for customer-facing and business-critical applications.
- Support and troubleshoot distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms in production.
- Lead major incident management, service restoration, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to resolve customer-impacting issues and improve service stability.
- Define and drive SLIs, SLOs, and error budget practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to improve software engineering capability.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience engineering software, scripts, and tools across the software development and operations lifecycle.
