Position Summary

The Site Manager – Service Technician (Industrial Machinery) is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of industrial machinery installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at assigned client sites.

This role assumes full technical and operational ownership of site activities, ensuring safe execution, adherence to manufacturer specifications, team supervision, client satisfaction, and timely project completion.

The Site Manager acts as the primary representative of the company on-site and ensures optimal performance of packaging and production lines within beverage and food production facilities.

1. Site Operational Management

  • Assume full responsibility for all technical activities at assigned project sites.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, technical standards, and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily site operations, including manpower allocation and workflow control.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust resources to meet deadlines.

2. Technical Oversight & Advanced Troubleshooting

  • Lead complex troubleshooting of 24V and 380V electrical systems.
  • Oversee diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electronic failures on industrial packaging lines.
  • Validate technical solutions before system reactivation.
  • Ensure correct interpretation of electrical diagrams and DWG layouts.
  • Approve final technical adjustments and commissioning parameters.

3. Installation & Commissioning Management

  • Supervise mechanical alignment and installation accuracy.
  • Ensure proper electrical panel integration and PLC verification.
  • Conduct system validation tests and performance checks before handover.
  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturer teams for technical clarifications.
  • Secure client sign-off upon successful commissioning.

4. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Supervise service technicians and subcontractors on-site.
  • Assign tasks according to technical competency.
  • Enforce safety standards and discipline.
  • Provide technical coaching and on-site mentorship.
  • Conduct performance assessments and report feedback to headquarters.

5. Client Relationship & Representation

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients.
  • Provide professional technical advice and operational recommendations.
  • Manage client expectations regarding downtime, repair timelines, and project scope.
  • Deliver training sessions to client technical teams.
  • Maintain strong and professional relationships in French and English.

6. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure all works meet manufacturer and company quality standards.
  • Conduct final inspections before project closure.
  • Validate preventive maintenance implementation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of modifications.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit detailed site progress reports.
  • Approve intervention reports prepared by technicians.
  • Document recurring technical issues and propose corrective action plans.
  • Provide management with performance and risk analysis updates.

8. Logistics & Resource Coordination

  • Coordinate spare parts, tools, and equipment requirements before project mobilization.
  • Ensure proper material availability at site.
  • Manage site-level logistics challenges.
  • Control resource utilization to optimize operational costs.

Education

  • BS or TS degree in Industrial Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial machinery or packaging assembly lines.
  • Proven experience leading on-site technical operations.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting 24V and 380V electrical systems.
  • Expertise in reading electrical diagrams and DWG layouts.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical alignment and industrial assembly.
  • Previous experience in site supervision or project coordination is mandatory.
