- Conduct regular site inspections
- Manage the daily operation of construction projects
- Interpret and implement construction plans as per project blueprint
- Liaise with subcontractors, architects, and other professional staff
- Assess potential risks and implement preventive measures
- Ensure materials and resources are used effectively and wastage minimized
- Keep accurate records of construction progress, changes, and other relevant information
- Resolve technical issues with the project team and offer advice on improvements
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
- Supervise and instruct the construction team and onsite laborers
- Ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
- Prepare site reports and fill in other paperwork
Requirements
- Proven 2 3 years work experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction
- Familiarity with construction/project management software
- Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
