Position Overview

Supervise and execute site engineering, quantity surveying, technical documentation, inspection, construction, and investigation activities.

Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality procedures, and safety standards.

Site Engineering and Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
  • Coordinate with the main office on shop drawings aligned with site conditions.
  • Supervise Site Foremen and communicate daily activities, priorities, and tasks to the site team.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, potential delays, resource requirements, labor assignments, and daily production logs.
  • Maintain document control for drawings, reports, site files, and AMS labor records.
  • Manage and reconcile site petty cash with supporting documentation.

Quantity Surveying and Documentation

  • Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, material estimates, site measurements, and provisional sum submissions.
  • Prepare steel orders, concrete orders, bar bending schedules, and steel shop drawings.
  • Develop technical submittals, laboratory test reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain updated as-built drawings and prepare inspection requests, MEP clearances, and submittal logs.
  • Prepare close-out documents including permit drawings, approved inspection requests, test results, work permits, final reports, TOC, and completion certificates.

Inspection, Testing, and Quality

  • Submit inspection requests and follow up with consultants and clients for approval.
  • Conduct joint surveys, verify site readiness, prepare snag lists, and monitor rectification works.
  • Maintain laboratory test logs and follow up on draft and final testing results.
  • Conduct steel and MEP service scanning and confirm slab thickness before related works.

Construction Activities

  • Coordinate material delivery and availability with the Foreman and Storekeeper.
  • Prepare or support revised and updated shop drawings with the main office.
  • Prepare concrete orders based on daily site requirements.
  • Prepare reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules, and structural shop drawings.
  • Ensure architectural, structural, and MEP works are executed accurately against project specifications.

Investigation Work

  • Prepare indicative test drawings with the design team and Project Engineer.
  • Perform non-destructive and semi-destructive testing using approved equipment.
  • Extract scanning results and prepare technical reports.
  • Maintain test lists and matrix sheets and coordinate concrete core and dust sample submissions with warehouse and laboratory teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, testing procedures, and MEP or structural coordination.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and QS software tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail and strong document control discipline.
