Job Purpose
This full-time, site-based role inspects and monitors civil construction works.
The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract documents, applicable codes and standards, quality requirements, safety requirements, and the project schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily inspections of all civil construction works.
- Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, method statements, and relevant codes.
- Inspect delivered materials and ensure conformity with submittals.
- Witness site tests and laboratory tests for construction materials.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate site records.
- Identify non-conforming works and issue SORs and NCRs as required.
- Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, discipline engineers, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are observed.
- Monitor construction progress and report delays or issues affecting completion.
- Verify completed-work measurements for interim payment applications when requested.
- Assist with snagging and final inspection reports before project handover.
