Job Overview

V2X GTS has a requirement for a Electronic/Simulation Technician III in support of the Royal Moroccan Air Base, Rabat, Morocco.

The Sim Tech-III provides scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS (e.g.

AH64E and GFP), following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.

Informs the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS (e.g. AH64E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) and GFP), Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator (TFPS) and GFP), following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available
  • Diagnoses system failures, repair/replace
  • Records all maintenance activities in real-time in MAXIMO and adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number by location
  • Ensures that maintenance data capture is immediate at the time and place of maintenance actions to improve data accuracy and completeness in real-time
  • Sets up and tests TADSS Devices to confirm equipment works as expected, including interoperability and operation verification
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that Safety is the priority in the workplace. Safeguards and maintains property, materials, and facilities
  • Complies with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals
  • Provides information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation
  • Participates in and enforces all mandatory training requirements; implements provision for Government-wide programs such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, personnel, and information security requirements
  • Sets up and tests TADSS Devices to confirm equipment works as expected, including interoperability and operation verification
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that Safety is the priority in the workplace. Safeguards and maintains property, materials, and facilities
  • Complies with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals
  • Provides information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation
  • Participates in and enforces all mandatory training requirements; implements provision for Government-wide programs such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, personnel, and information security requirements
  • Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions
  • Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability
  • Responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS Devices, and GFP devices
  • Maintain TADSS in Fully Mission Capable (FMC) condition to meet the Contract Mission Time and CPF requirements in Appendix B for each device and location
  • Other duties as directed by the V2X Program Manager

Desired Experience

  • AH64E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated relevant experience (academic, work, or combination of both) managing the maintenance of TADSS for an Army Training Support Program with an understanding of the Army Training Support Enterprise objectives, Army TADSS program, AR 350-1 training requirements and AR 750-1 maintenance requirements
  • Extensive experience creating products employing MS Office, especially MS PowerPoint and MS Word

Degree(s)/Years of Experience :

  • (3+ years MA/MS) or (5+ years with BA/BS) or (8+ years with AA) Or (10+ years with No Degree)
  • Possess a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a related discipline.

Material & Equipment Directly Used

  • Government Furnished Equipment (GFP), Components-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Hand tools, soldering station, and specialized test equipment to include Digital Multimeter.

Working Environment

  • 90% of the regular work environment is inside simulation facilities either onsite or a Point of Need (PoN)

Location

wherever training is being conducted

  • 10% of the regular work is within an office environment
  • Must be able to meet requirements to obtain Work Permit and Residency Visa in Germany
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, able to obtain an International Driver’s Permit
  • Applicant may be required to travel and will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures
  • Must possess a US Passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility

Physical Activities

  • Physical activities include stooping, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Short periods of walking and standing for extended periods are likely
  • Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8-hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear

Certification(S)

  • Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) Basic Electronics Certification IAW ISO 17024 standards
