The future replacement for the International Space Station will be designed, developed, built, and operate by U.S. commercial companies/partners.

The new space stations, referred to as Commercial Destinations, will be assessed and certified by NASA before committing service contracts to continue U.S.

Government (USG) astronauts' presence in LEO for science and research.

The Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Division at the NASA Johnson Space Center is seeking intern to help develop analysis tools and simulations for design analysis of the Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) space stations.

The intern will be tasked to develop math models and software to simulate the operations of the Commercial Destination and to perform analyses to assess the integrated performance of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) system.

The intern will be introduced to the math and physics behind the design of the spacecraft flight control system and the development of simulation math models and software to analyze and assess the performance of the flight control system.

The expected contributions by the intern would be any or all of these: a) Computer math models of applicable physical systems and effects b) Software representing control logics in flight software c) Integrated analysis of GN&C system performance.
