The Simulation Program Manager will provide operational and strategic leadership for the administration, design, delivery, and evaluation of the BCH Oakland Simulation Program to ensure effectiveness and impact. They will oversee program operations, including personnel, financial and physical resources, simulation technology, policies and procedures, program evaluation, and performance metrics. This includes programs conducted at all BCH Oakland sites, as well as simulation-based outreach programs. They will collaborate with the BCH Medical Director of Simulation, the Clinical Nurse Simulation Educator, and other key stakeholders, including but not limited to quality and patient safety leaders, simulation leads and educators, and other system leaders, to assess needs, develop innovative simulation-based programs, and support their implementation. Support will include activities such as calendar planning and maintenance; working with simulation leaders on programmatic expansion and quality improvement, including outreach programs; managing the budget; tracking outcome measures; overseeing equipment storage and maintenance; and resource allocation. The Program Manager should be well-versed in simulation methodology and may help facilitate front-line simulation activities.
The ideal candidate is a talented professional with diverse life experiences and perspectives who has 5+ years of experience in medical simulation—prior lead or supervisory experience required.
