Program Administration and Leadership: Provides strategic and operational leadership for the BCH Oakland Simulation Program in collaboration with the Medical Director of Simulation.
Supports technical innovation in use of simulation. Manages the overall delivery and day-to-day operations of the BCH Oakland Simulation Program. In conjunction with the Medical Director of Simulation:
Develops, implements and maintains updated simulation program policies, procedures and protocols.
Develops and manages simulation calendar to facilitate program scheduling and logistics including availability of equipment and technician to support programs
Oversees simulation facilitator training program including arranging and managing logistics of class offerings
Serves as a consultant working with faculty to conceptualize and develop simulation learning experiences for learners and piloting new programs.
Works with simulation leaders for strategic programmatic expansion inclusive of outreach programs
Participates in appropriate committee meetings that inform the simulation programming to align with organizational quality and safety priorities and goals
Prepares and maintains operational budget .
Responds to internal and external customer simulation center inquiries and requests
Supports annual IAP goals.
Supports future accreditation goals as applicable.
Resource coordination: Assists with administration and management of resources, and communicating significant changes as they occur. In conjunction with the Medical Director of Simulation:
Maintains and keeps updated catalogs of: All simulation equipment and implements check out and return policy All simulation facilitators and program leaders All simulation programs in place along with program leads

Performs in simulation scenarios roles as needed: technical support, facilitator, embedded participant (nursing, RT, pharmacy, MD, etc)

Directly supervises staff that coordinate all activities associated with ongoing implementation of the program.
Evaluates staff performance and competency and defines development goals.
Recommends changes in staffing and budget to ensure the efficient operation of the program.
Participates in recruiting and conducts new employee orientation.
