Position Summary
Administer, maintain, secure, and operate the School of Health Sciences simulation labs.
Train faculty in simulation equipment use and develop and implement simulation activities.
Apply knowledge of simulation technologies, healthcare simulation standards, and simulated learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide faculty technical training and support for simulation activities.
- Supervise students and support operation of high-fidelity equipment and patient simulators.
- Conduct practice runs and orientations, respond to student simulation inquiries, and monitor student-led sessions.
- Run operator workstations and video recording for simulation debriefing.
- Help faculty plan simulation days, prepare locations, organize supplies, and revise simulation activities.
- Set up and dismantle scenarios, including rapid changeovers between programs.
- Troubleshoot lab setup, maintenance, equipment, software, and connectivity issues.
- Perform routine diagnostics, preventive maintenance, repairs, and software updates.
