About the role
Bedrock Robotics deploys autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment to improve job-site safety and project schedules.
The engineer will be the Cloud team's point person for simulation and will integrate simulators with the broader Cloud platform.
What you will do
- Integrate simulators into Cloud deployment, packaging, instrumentation, and runtime systems.
- Make simulation workflows easy to run through CI and keep nightly release-gating workflows reliable and fast.
- Translate simulation-team needs into platform work and contribute reusable Cloud primitives.
- Evaluate future simulation directions and stand up supporting infrastructure.
- Build distributed systems, deployment plumbing, data pipelines, and internal tooling.
Required qualifications
- Six or more years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
- Strong Python skills and comfort with API design, asynchronous patterns, and cloud-native development.
- Solid AWS and cloud infrastructure experience with distributed-systems concepts and cost-performance trade-offs.
- Experience with deployment and service integration, including gRPC, container orchestration, and instrumentation.
- Comfort across backend services, data pipelines, CI systems, and internal UIs.
