Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom software solutions that support scheduling, video recording management, automated audio announcements, and other operational needs of simulation centres.
- Analyze business requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement innovative solutions that integrate effectively with existing systems and workflows.
- Develop and maintain secure applications and data processes in compliance with organizational data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Create and execute unit tests to ensure software reliability, performance, and compatibility with existing functionality.
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support end-user adoption and system effectiveness.
- Manage Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service ( AWS S3) storage access and policies, conduct access audits, and maintain current expertise in software development, emerging technologies, and project management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field plus a minimum of three years’ relevant (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications using Python and modern software development practices.
- Experience integrating applications with application programming interfaces (APIs), databases, local file systems, and cloud-based services.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, access management, and data governance principles.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to gather business requirements and develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Assets
Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service ( AWS S3) Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or experience working with AWS services, particularly Amazon S3 and access management.
Experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUIs), desktop applications, and user-focused software solutions.
Experience with Docker, audio and video software (FFmpeg), video recording technologies, IP cameras, or media management systems.
Experience working in healthcare, higher education, simulation-based learning environments, or other client-focused technical environments.
