Role Overview
Parsons is seeking a Signaling Engineer (Systems) to support signaling delivery on a major project.
The role focuses on CBTC and fallback signaling systems, contractor oversight, integration, testing, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Design-Build contractor’s CBTC signaling team to deliver the signaling solution against contract requirements and schedules.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors and provide technical support for installation and commissioning issues.
- Verify installation, testing, and commissioning of signaling systems and associated interfaces.
- Review drawings, technical submissions, proposals, method statements, testing procedures, and commissioning plans.
- Monitor interfaces with railway systems and disciplines, including platform screen doors.
- Prepare technical reports and monitor progress against schedule, budget, specifications, and performance requirements.
- Support resolution of technical, contractual, and operational signaling challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of CBTC signaling installation, testing, and commissioning experience on large-scale metro projects.
- Experience across rail signaling design, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
- Experience in consultant supervision and contractor management, including contractual administration and technical correspondence.
- Strong leadership, coordination, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and project delivery skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
Desired Skills
- IRSE certification or an equivalent rail industry qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of CBTC, Automatic Train Control, and trackside signaling systems is desirable.
- Previous GCC project experience is desirable.
- Experience on metro, railway, or major transportation infrastructure projects is desirable.
