About the Opportunity

As part of the City Operations Program, you’ll help keep Adelaide’s streets, events and public spaces safe, clear and looking their best as a Signage Installer, Infrastructure Maintenance.

From installing and replacing parking and traffic signs to setting up temporary signage and flags for events, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the city moving.

You’ll spend your days out and about, working across the city and responding to a variety of signage needs.

You’ll use your practical skills to measure, prepare materials, install and maintain signage, with some concreting involved, while ensuring every job is completed safely and to a high standard.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, being part of a team and seeing the results of their work across the city.

You’ll also have the opportunity to support major events and road closures, with occasional out-of-hours work required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
• Sound practical knowledge of the fundamental nature of sign installation practices, products and techniques employed in the maintenance of the infrastructure.
• Be able to read plans, maps etc. to ensure correct installation.
• Demonstrated ability in carrying out accurate measuring and calculations associated with daily operations and identification of material requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the signs, times, sizes, regulations as used in the parking industry.
• Self-motivated, results oriented and able to initiate actions to ensure objectives are achieved.
