SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER/TUTOR

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Has the knowledge and possesses the ability to provide manual and oral transliteration and interpretation in the educational setting. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Sign-Language Interpretation/Transliteration or equivalent.
• National certification from Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
• Minimum:
• Associate's Degree in Sign Language Interpretation/Transliteration.
• Education Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) 3.5 or higher
• Continuing education to meet the preferred qualifications such as Sign Language Interpreting workshops and/or college credit hours.
