Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Shopify Developer role based in Gurugram.
- The Shopify Developer will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining the company’s Shopify storefronts, including developing themes, templates, and reusable components aligned with brand guidelines.
- Day to day work includes implementing new features, optimizing site performance, managing integrations with third party apps and APIs, and ensuring a smooth and secure checkout experience.
- The role also involves collaborating with design, marketing, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, while continuously improving site UX, mobile responsiveness, and conversion rates.
- The Shopify Developer will monitor site health, troubleshoot bugs, manage releases, and contribute to documentation and best practices for the e commerce tech stack.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Shopify development, including custom theme development, Liquid templating, and configuration of Shopify settings.
- Solid front end skills in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript, with experience building responsive, cross browser, and mobile first interfaces.
- Experience integrating and managing Shopify apps and APIs, including payment gateways, shipping solutions, analytics tools, and third party services.
- Understanding of e commerce best practices, including site performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, accessibility, and conversion rate optimization.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows for code reviews, branching, and deployments.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to debug, identify root causes, and implement reliable fixes in a production environment.
- Effective cross functional communication skills to work with designers, marketers, and operations teams in a fast paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Shopify development.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React or Vue) and headless commerce architectures is a plus.
- Background in DTC or retail e commerce, especially in consumer products or lifestyle brands, is an advantage.
