Job Summary
As a Shipping/Receiving team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our organization. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, records, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate efficient logistics operations. Here’s what a typical day looks like!
Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy by comparing them to packing slips, purchase orders, and other relevant documents.
Determine and coordinate the next steps for items requiring further processing.
Organize and stage items for job number, assembly, sub-assembly, etc.
Utilize ERP system and other tracking documents to search and enter relevant information.
Notify the appropriate personnel of any discrepancies or damages in received goods and collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor to address and resolve such issues.
Organize and distribute incoming materials to the respective departments or individuals.
Communicate any delivery or quality-related concerns to the Supervisors or or Quality Manager for prompt resolution.
Track inventory levels and initiate requisitions for restocking automation supplies, ensuring that sufficient stock is maintained at all times.
Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment and ensure their safe storage and organization within the facility.
