Eurofins Professional Scientific Services provides scientific insourcing services and operates within a GxP-compliant service model.

The role supports operations at a new client GMP research and development facility in Melbourne CBD.

Position overview

This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced shipping or warehouse coordinator.

The coordinator manages inbound and outbound shipments of regulated and non-regulated materials to local and international destinations.

Shipments may require validated temperature management and full cold-chain handling.

The coordinator is the central contact for staff requiring material shipments and liaises with supply chain and global logistics teams.

Core responsibilities

  • Coordinate transport, pre-packing, packing, bookings, and delivery of materials and samples.
  • Check transport providers and ensure shipping requirements are followed.
  • Support GMP transit storage, inventory controls, and compliant warehouse and distribution activities.
  • Maintain safe and clean warehouse and loading bay areas in line with OH&S requirements.
  • Manage export trade compliance, including Trusted Trader and Known Consignor requirements.
  • Maintain inventory records, stocktaking, purchase order non-conformances, and waste documentation.
  • Handle dangerous goods and ambient or cold-chain materials correctly.
  • Coordinate logistics forecasts, transport bookings, courier deliveries, and estimated arrival communications.
  • Manage correspondence with end users and transport companies and assist with logistics KPI reporting.

Qualifications and experience

  • Qualifications in supply chain, inventory management, and/or logistics are required.
  • Previous GMP experience and knowledge of GMP, GDP, and GWP are required.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Distribution and warehousing experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related environment, is required.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Applicants must be organized, accurate, adaptable, safety-focused, and able to prioritize work.
  • The role requires manual handling capability and the ability to lift approximately 10 to 15 kilograms.
