As our Shipping Lead/ Dispatch you will be responsible for coordinating the accurate and on time delivery of customer orders. This includes picking, packing, and coordinating with our delivery drivers and local freight companies. An attention to detail will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, along with the ability to multi task.
To experience success in the position, you will:
Provide a professional atmosphere for our customers
Have an attention for detail while picking orders and completing shipping documents
Be able to plan and organize delivery schedules based on geography/ shifting customer demands
Uphold our core values and ethics with every interaction
Work safely and effectively as a teammate
Be comfortable multitasking and giving direction to other teammates to ensure orders are processed accurately and promptly
Know how to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
Be courteous, friendly and build relationships with customers and teammates
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience, with preference for shipping/ dispatch
Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
Possess a high level of attention to detail
Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
Ability to multitask
Experience leading a team/ giving direction
Intermediate math skills
