Full Job Posting

About the Role

  • We are partnered with an established shipping company operating within the UAE's Free Zone framework, with offices in both Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.
  • We are seeking two (2) Shipping & Chartering Admin Executives — one per location — to join the client's team on a flexible working arrangement.
  • Candidates may choose between Part Time (2 days per week in office) or Full Time (5 days per week in office, working half days).
  • This role carries significant legal responsibility. The successful candidate will serve as an authorised representative of the company, executing and signing commercial shipping agreements, charter party contracts, and related maritime documentation on the company's behalf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the company's authorised representative in relation to commercial shipping operations, vessel fixtures, and maritime transactions
  • Execute and sign charter party agreements, contracts, deeds, and all related shipping documentation on behalf of the company
  • Coordinate document execution processes to ensure timely completion of all agreements
  • Affix the company chop/seal to official documents where required
  • Provide administrative support including visits to the company secretary's office, auditor's office, banks, and relevant government departments for submission, collection, and processing of documents
  • Handle general administrative duties and prepare documents for audit purposes
  • Maintain a working understanding of the company's accounting system (Danaos) and assist in addressing auditors' queries with relevant supporting documentation
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments as directed by management

Education & Experience

  • Recognised university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent), minimum
  • Demonstrable, hands on experience in the shipping industry — this is a strict requirement and the single most important qualifying criterion.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with charter party contracts and shipping documentation
  • Prior exposure to the Danaos accounting/shipping management system is a strong advantage
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Detail oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable visiting government offices, banks, and regulatory bodies as required

Location & Working Arrangements

  • Position 1 — Ras Al Khaimah
  • Position 2 — Dubai
  • Part Time: 2 days/week in office
  • Full Time: 5 days/week, half days in office
  • Candidates must confirm the location they are applying for and confirm their ability to commute to that office.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a recent photograph alongside their CV for client review
  • Candidates must confirm their preferred working arrangement (part time or full time) and their intended office location prior to submission
  • As this role requires the incumbent to represent the company and sign legal documents on its behalf, the nationality requirements above are strict and non negotiable
  • Candidates who do not meet the requirements are kindly asked not to apply
