Job Purpose
Manage and control financial accounting for shipping operations across a fleet of tankers.
Ensure accurate vessel-level reporting, voyage profitability, OPEX control, IFRS compliance, and coordination with chartering, operations, and technical teams.
Voyage and Vessel Accounting
- Maintain voyage-wise accounting for vessels and bulk carriers.
- Record and monitor voyage income and expenses and prepare voyage profitability reports.
- Account for freight income, demurrage, dispatch, and hire payments.
- Verify Statements of Facts and laytime calculations for demurrage claims.
- Account for daily vessel operating costs, including crew wages, stores and spares, insurance, repairs, maintenance, and lubricants.
- Monitor vessel OPEX budgets against actuals.
Port, Charter, and Bunker Accounting
- Process and verify port dues, pilotage, towage, canal transit, agency, and terminal handling charges.
- Coordinate with shipping agents and port authorities.
- Record and monitor time-charter and voyage-charter agreements.
- Calculate hire payments, bunker adjustments, and off-hire deductions and maintain charter hire statements and reconciliations.
- Account for bunker purchases and consumption and monitor onboard fuel inventory.
