- Communicate with shipping manager to maintain inventory levels, orders, and ship dates
- Receive and fulfill direct ship orders daily
- Ensure all orders are packaged according to company standards and shipped in a timely manner
- Assist with packing pallets for distribution
- Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers including logging on the sample log.
- Properly use packaging materials per company standards and requirements.
- Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse
- Pulls and stacks products based on daily orders.
- Seal and case box dry good products
- Seal and pack pallet product according to the production schedule
- Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
- Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. pallet jack, dolly, pallet wrapper, tape machines).
- Reports any mechanical problems.
- Utilizes continuous-improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and required work-safe practices.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Creative approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Must enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Requires frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, and twisting
- Most duties are performed while standing
- Requires repetitive motion with hands and arms
- Exposure to various temperature changes
- Love for biscuits and other Southern specialties
- Shipping + packing experience preferred
