Shipper/Material Handler

The Shipper/Material Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse and shipping areas.

This position is primarily focused on shipping operations and includes responsibilities such as loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and operating material handling equipment like forklifts.

The role also involves ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations, maintaining accurate records, and strictly adhering to safety protocols.

This team member contributes significantly to the smooth and effective operation of the facility.

• Receiving packaged materials from Pack areas, verifying quantities and condition of goods.
• Preparing items for shipment based on customer orders or production schedules.
• Labeling packages for shipment.
• Communicating with carriers and arranging shipments.
• Creation and printing of necessary paperwork.
• Using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, or loading docks.
• Ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently, potentially involving the use of specialized equipment and following established procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of shipments, and other relevant data.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
