Position overview
The role is a Shift Supervisor for a wastewater treatment O&M project in Fujairah, UAE.
The position covers wastewater treatment, utilities and operations and maintenance activities on a full-time rotational shift basis.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise wastewater treatment plant operations during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate control-room activities and field operations.
- Monitor operating parameters, process conditions and equipment status.
- Coordinate responses to SCADA alarms and operational abnormalities.
- Conduct and supervise routine inspections and process checks.
- Manage shift handovers and maintain accurate records and logbooks.
- Supervise operators and allocate daily operational duties.
- Support MBR and other wastewater treatment processes where applicable.
- Coordinate first response to emergencies and equipment or process abnormalities.
- Ensure PTW, HSE and site operating procedure compliance.
- Report significant issues to the Process Manager or project management.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical qualification in environmental, mechanical, electrical, chemical or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum four years of wastewater or water treatment plant operations experience.
