Role Overview

Siemens is hiring a Service Sales Specialist for Engineered Drives Systems and Customer Services across Western Canada.

The role supports Account Managers as a technical and commercial expert and helps win complex opportunities and drive profitable growth.

Account Management and Sales

  • Support customer engagements through solution development, workshops, proposals, presentations, negotiations, and execution.
  • Build relationships with customers, consultants, EPCs, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Develop account growth strategies and position Siemens as a preferred automation, drives, and services partner.
  • Build qualified pipelines, maintain forecasts and account plans, and support opportunity strategy and business reviews.

Drives and Lifecycle Services

  • Drive growth of SINAMICS Drives Systems, motors, automation integration, and engineered solutions.
  • Promote maintenance, spare parts, service contracts, warranties, retrofits, migrations, digital services, training, monitoring, predictive maintenance, cybersecurity, and technical support.
  • Identify modernization, lifecycle service, retrofit, and upgrade opportunities in the installed base.
  • Conduct customer assessments, service audits, and lifecycle evaluations.

Technical Solution Development

  • Develop value-based solutions for drives applications and customer operational challenges.
  • Support technical proposals, scope definition, costing strategies, and engineered solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, application, factory, bid, and service execution teams.
  • Support reliability, productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Market and Industry Engagement

  • Support business development across mining, metals, oil and gas, energy, utilities, water and wastewater, manufacturing, infrastructure, and other industries.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Represent Siemens at customer events, seminars, trade shows, workshops, and industry conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience with variable frequency drives, motion controls, retrofit projects, and lifecycle services.
  • Experience with complex technical sales opportunities, major industrial projects, and relevant customer and partner groups.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen and deep knowledge of drives, motion control, automation, and lifecycle services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, business development, and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, strategic thinking, self-motivation, and priority-management skills.
