About the Role
Berg Propulsion is hiring two Service Engineers for its Dubai team to provide expert service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of marine propulsion systems.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Berg Propulsion systems including Controllable Pitch Propellers, Transverse Thrusters, and Azimuth Thrusters.
- Execute warranty work and system upgrades.
- Provide field service support for both newbuilding and retrofit projects.
- Diagnose and resolve propulsion system issues efficiently and professionally.
- Prepare technical service reports and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with customers, shipyards, vessel operators, and internal engineering teams with focus on high quality service.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the marine industry, preferably working with propulsion systems
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and commissioning
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and automation drawings
- UAE/GCC driving license, or willingness and motivation to obtain one
- Strong problem solving skills and a customer focused mindset

About the Role
- As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers across the marine industry by providing expert service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Berg Propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Berg Propulsion systems, including Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP), Transverse Thrusters, and Azimuth Thrusters.
- Execute warranty work and system upgrades.
- Provide field service support for both newbuilding and retrofit projects.
- Diagnose and resolve propulsion system issues efficiently and professionally.
- Prepare technical service reports and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with customers, shipyards, vessel operators, and internal engineering teams with focus on high quality service at all times.
Your Profile
- Mechanical Engineer with an electrical background and experience from the marine industry or shipyard environment.
- Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineer with a mechanical background or a strong interest in developing mechanical service competencies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the marine industry, preferably working with propulsion systems.
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and commissioning.
