Service Engineer HP Indigo

Manages the maintenance, instalment, commissioning and overhauling of all existing and future HP indigo presses whether roll fed or sheet fed.

Software System setup and configuration will equally be his responsibility.

Remote support, as well as active sales and support of maintenance agreements are part of the engineer’s job description.

The Senior Service Engineer will actively be engaged in technical sales activities, promoting, convincing, recommending and configuring presses that fits the customer’s desired requirements.

Liaising with HP Indigo Service team regarding support escalations.

Responsible for handling the case from initial incident through to final the resolution.

Compiling reports regarding product problems.

Researching technical issues

The role equally consists of supporting print quality problems the customer may face.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:

· Will manage the installation, maintenance and putting into operation of HP Indigo presses from cut sheet to web fed presses

· Will take care of the maintenance of HP Indigo Imaging equipment

· Will set up and run HP Indigo presses and files

· Sound knowledge of simple bindery operations

· Will troubleshoot and solve any problems on installed HP Indigo Presses

· Will perform and conduct troubleshooting, and routine maintenance on HP Indigo presses

Maintain a positive working relationship with department head, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and develop strong communication channels with both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish strategic objectives.

· Diploma or BE in Printing or equivalent through practical experience

· Use and understand computers with Windows and iOS (Apple) operating systems

· Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

· Exhibits a stable, positive and professional daily disposition.

Be punctual and complete assigned tasks on time.

· Controls ego and presents a positive and professional team attitude with peers and the customers

· Presents requests in a timely, respectful and businesslike manner

· Acts promptly on all requests and exhibits and practices Team values

· Display high ethics, character and commitment to the business

· Continuing self-improvement through education and reading (read books, trade magazines and other materials that will improve effectiveness)
