The Insurance Estimator cum Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates for insurance claims, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers regarding vehicle servicing and repairs.
This role combines technical knowledge, customer service, and coordination with insurance companies to ensure smooth claim processing and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:Insurance Estimation
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using estimation software.
- Liaise with insurance companies, surveyors, and adjusters for claim approvals.
- Ensure all estimates comply with insurance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on claim status and approvals.
Service Advisory
- Greet customers and understand their vehicle concerns.
- Provide professional advice on repairs, maintenance, and service options.
- Prepare job cards and explain repair processes, timelines, and costs.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service progress.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle complaints effectively.
Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely repairs.
- Track vehicle progress and ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates, approvals, and service records.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as an automotive estimator, service advisor, or similar role.
- Knowledge of insurance claim procedures and automotive repair processes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
