Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff (level 5) Systems Engineer RIA - AVE Technical Lead to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering team located in Roy, UT.

Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

The selected engineer will be a Systems Engineering SME and responsible for driving technical rigor into work products for the Requirements, Interfaces, and Architecture (RIA) teams for the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment .

The engineer will be responsible for leading team of 5-10 systems engineers and performing tasking.

This includes providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers as they execute tasking involving interface definition, requirement decomposition, and compliance tracking.

The selected candidate will be reporting to the AVE RIA Lead.

They would be responsible for assisting in oversight and execution of requirements development, verification, interface development and architecture development in the AVE Segment-System.

The individual must be capable of leading a team in a highly dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities.

The individual must be able to communicate effectively with upper management and customers.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Key Reviewer and oversight of the AVE Requirements Verification Plan for the Segment
• Requirement development, decomposition, and refinement based on knowledge of the functional architecture and performance budgets
• Ensure architecture is consistent with requirements decomposition
