Senior Workday Integration & Extend Developer

Overview of the Role

Workday Extend Development

• Design and build custom business applications, pages, and components using Workday Extend, Canvas Design System, and Business Objects.
• Program complex, multi-step asynchronous processes and external API calls using Workday Orchestrations.
• Deploy, version, and continuously optimize custom Extend applications within the tenant.

Core Integration Engineering

• Build, test, and deploy complex, high-volume integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Document Transformation.
• Write and maintain XSLT, XML, and JSON transformations for data flow between Workday and external systems.
• Develop Custom Reports used as RaaS endpoints and integrate external systems through REST and SOAP web services.

Support and Security

• Debug integration failures and Workday Studio code.
• Configure and maintain Integration Security Users and Integration Security Groups using least-privilege principles.
• Work with business analysts to turn functional requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 5 years of hands-on Workday integration experience with proven expertise in Workday Studio is required.
• At least 2 years of active development experience with Workday Extend is required.
• Advanced proficiency in XSLT, XML, JSON, and expression languages such as MVEL is required.
• Strong experience with REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, SFTP, and HTTPS is required.
