Role Description
The Senior Video Editor is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
The role leads editing for long-form and short-form content and shapes narrative structure, pacing, and visual style.
The editor collaborates with directors, producers, and graphic designers and contributes creative input during pre-production and post-production.
Core Responsibilities
- Assemble raw footage and select key shots.
- Apply transitions, motion graphics, titles, color correction, and grading.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, brand guidelines, and quality standards.
- Maintain organized project files, optimize workflows, mentor junior editors, and follow industry developments.
Qualifications
- Strong video editing skills, including non-linear editing software and narrative editing for multiple formats.
- Experience across pre-production and post-production, including on-site live and studio environments.
- Advanced video color grading skills and capability in motion graphics and graphics integration.
- Senior or lead editing experience in a production house, broadcast, or agency environment.
- Excellent visual storytelling, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, and deadline management.
- Familiarity with digital and broadcast delivery standards, including aspect ratios, codecs, and export specifications.
- Sports, entertainment, or live event content experience is highly beneficial.
- A relevant Film, Media Production, or related degree or diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
