Responsibilities
- Review and assess General Insurance enquiries, primarily for Property & Casualty risks
- Analyse risks and identify underwriting requirements
- Prepare underwriting slips and market submissions for both Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance
- Liaise and negotiate with insurance and reinsurance companies to secure the most suitable terms
- Review quotations, policy wordings, terms, and conditions
- Prepare quotation comparison reports and technical recommendations
- Provide technical support to the Business Development Team throughout the placement process
- Support Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance placements by preparing technical submissions and reviewing market terms
- Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and compliance across all placements
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in Technical Insurance and Reinsurance (Property & Casualty)
- Proven experience in General Insurance (Property & Casualty) including technical underwriting, risk assessment, market placement, policy review, and quotation comparison
- Practical experience in Facultative and/or Treaty Reinsurance (Property & Casualty)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- CII, III, or an equivalent professional insurance qualification is an advantage
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance and reinsurance products
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple placements while maintaining high technical and professional standards
