Job responsibilities
• Validate trade bookings for physical and financial gas, power and environmental products; resolve booking discrepancies between trading systems, exchanges and counterparties.
• Draft, issue, receive and reconcile OTC trade confirmations under EFET and ISDA master agreements, ensuring timely dispatch and electronic matching where applicable, monitor daily aging queue and escalate in line with agreed policies
• Resolve confirmation exceptions and contractual discrepancies.
• Ensure confirmations for exchange-traded and cleared products are matched and reconciled against exchange records (EPEX Spot, Nord Pool, ICE Endex, EEX).
• Perform end-to-end settlement calculations for physical and financial commodity transactions across gas, power (including supply and PPA contracts) and environmental markets.
• Monitor supplier switching, meter point reconciliations, EAN registration and BRP changes with TenneT and GTS for the Dutch portfolio.
• Resolve metering exceptions across the end-to-end metering data flow.
• Generate, validate and process customer and counterparty invoices, including credit notes and fee invoices to independent suppliers and investigate and resolve disputes.
• Manage prepayments: validate estimates, issue pre-payment invoices and true-up against actual metering data.
• Validate and process TSO, DSO, exchange, clearing house, broker and market operator invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes relating to energy trading activities.
• Support Dutch Energy Tax (Energiebelasting) calculations and associated reporting requirements.
• Support Finance and Tax teams during audits and regulatory reviews.
• Support settlements, inventory/registry reconciliation and transfers/retirements for Guarantees of Origin (GOs), EU Emissions Allowances (EUAs), UK Allowances (UKAs) and other environmental products.
• Reconcile environmental certificate positions against registry accounts and trading systems.
• Perform daily and monthly trade, position, settlement and cash reconciliations.
• Reconcile exchange statements, broker statements and clearing house reports.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks.
• Back-office or operations experience in physical power and/or gas supply, with substantive hands-on exposure to physical billing and metering management.
• Understanding of Dutch and European gas and power markets, including familiarity with the TTF gas hub, EPEX Spot power markets, TenneT and GTS as TSOs is strongly preferred.

• Experience supporting settlements, reconciliations and invoicing activities across European energy exchanges, including EPEX Spot, Nord Pool, ICE Endex and EEX, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EFET General Agreement, ISDA Master Agreement and associated CSA/credit support documentation. Understanding of commodity trade lifecycle processes from execution to settlement.
• Knowledge of Guarantees of Origin (GOs), EU ETS / UK ETS allowances and familiarity with REC / iRECS agreements is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Dutch Energiebelasting (EB) rate structures, EAN-level bracket calculations, consumer exemptions and the Belastingdienst remittance process is an advantage.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g. large language models, automation platforms) to improve operational workflows, analyse data or draft documentation is beneficial.
