Position Overview
The Senior Technical Project Manager oversees planning, execution, tracking, and reporting for Advanced Wound Care new product development and lifecycle management projects.
The role manages scope, timing, budget, and cross-functional execution across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-priority projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead low- and medium-complexity project teams with limited supervision.
- Plan risks and coordinate mitigation with core team members.
- Manage budgets, spend forecasts, and accruals.
- Integrate workstreams into master schedules and establish stakeholder communication plans.
- Create detailed project plans, milestones, resource plans, and schedules.
- Monitor progress, revise plans, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Manage design control and business process compliance, including IDEAL gate reviews.
- Maintain project documentation and support PMO process improvements.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of successful new product development project management experience is required.
- Medical device or similar highly regulated industry experience is required.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, database software, SAP, and project management cloud software is required.
- An advanced degree or equivalent experience in engineering or science is required.
- Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are required.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Understanding of ISO 13485 and design controls is preferred.
- Experience developing wound care products is preferred.
- Project management certification such as PMP, APM, or equivalent is preferred.
Travel and Working Conditions
- The position may involve travel up to 25% of the time within the United States and Europe, usually including overnight travel.
- The role follows a flexible hybrid model with on-site presence at Deeside at least one day per month.
- From late 2027 or early 2028, the role is expected to transition to the Manchester site with one on-site day per week.
