Senior Technical Program Manager

Product and operating judgment

• Frame customer, user, editorial, operational, or business problems before converging on solutions.
• Partner with Product and Design on outcomes, success measures, experience principles, scope, discovery, delivery, launch, measurement, and follow-up.
• Pressure-test prioritization using customer impact, strategic fit, technical leverage, cost, risk, reversibility, and opportunity cost.
• Improve planning, portfolio visibility, adoption, feedback loops, and repeatable ways of working with Product Operations.

Executive influence

• Present complex situations with clear changes, implications, choices, recommendations, and decisions needed.
• Build alignment across leaders with different goals, incentives, vocabulary, and operating rhythms.
• Make independent decisions within the role's mandate and identify when executive sponsorship is required.
• Remain effective under ambiguity, organizational change, incomplete information, and shifting priorities.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years leading complex technical programs with principal- or senior-level scope in a matrixed organization.
• Strong software engineering foundations or equivalent hands-on technical experience and the ability to complete a practical coding assessment.
• Ability to understand architecture and implementation details and convert them into effective program strategies.
• Strong product judgment, cross-functional delivery experience, executive influence, independence, ownership, and communication skills.
• Use a practical process approach that balances rigor with speed and learning.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience as a software engineer, engineering lead, architect, technical product manager, or similarly technical professional.
• Experience with consumer digital products, media or publishing systems, subscriptions, advertising, data platforms, AI-enabled products, or platform modernization.
• Experience changing both technology and team planning, decision-making, or operating models.
• Experience across time zones, business units, vendors, or shared-platform organizations.

Compensation

• The disclosed salary range is $103,700 to $165,900 per year, with potential bonuses, incentives, awards, and employee benefits.
