Role overview
CNN is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact programs spanning product, technology, design, and product operations.
This is a deeply technical senior individual-contributor role involving architecture, code, product strategy, operating models, and executive decision-making.
The role owns ambiguous, multi-quarter programs that cross organizational boundaries and require sustained influence with senior leaders and technical practitioners.
Program leadership
- Lead high-priority technical programs from problem framing through execution, launch, adoption, and measurable business or customer impact.
- Define program strategies, outcome metrics, decision rights, sequencing, governance, dependencies, risks, and executable plans.
- Resolve technical, product, organizational, and operational constraints or drive the appropriate leaders to timely decisions.
- Build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Design, Architecture, Data, Security, Editorial, Revenue, and other partner organizations.
Technical leadership expectations
- Read, write, review, and reason about code to validate assumptions, automate work, inspect data, reproduce problems, or demonstrate solutions.
